Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 1,336 strikes on the Donetsk region, killing two people and injuring three others. A total of 45 civilian facilities were damaged.
According to Ukrinform, the regional police stated this on Telegram.
"During May 18, police recorded 1,336 enemy attacks along the front line and against residential areas of the region… A total of 45 civilian objects were damaged, including 32 residential buildings," the statement said.
It is noted that eight settlements came under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, and Sloviansk; the settlement of Sviatohorivka; and the villages of Kindrativka, Maiaky, and Myrne.
In particular, Kramatorsk endured 10 attacks, the largest involving Smerch multiple launch rocket systems. Russian forces killed one civilian and injured three others. One apartment building, 22 private homes, a workshop, and five civilian vehicles were damaged.
