The Sooko Agoriesin of Ile-Ife, Oladotun Hassan, has condemned the recent attack on schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, describing the incident as a disturbing tragedy that highlights the worsening insecurity across parts of the country.

Hassan, who is also the Aare Yoruba Agbaye and President of the Yoruba Council Worldwide, made this known in a statement issued on Monday, where he expressed concern over the abduction of students and teachers by armed gunmen in communities within the Ahoro-Esiele/Yawota axis of Ogbomoso.

He lamented the growing wave of attacks targeting schools and rural communities, warning that continued assaults on educational institutions pose a serious threat to the future of education, peace and development in the country.
