A 35-year-old man has been detained after allegedly setting fire to multiple vehicles and construction equipment in the town of Beloslav in Varna Region during the early hours of the morning.
According to initial information, the fire destroyed or damaged five cars along with a road roller. Authorities said the vehicles belonged to different private owners and companies.
Police officers from the Fourth Regional Department of the Interior Ministry in Varna responded immediately after the incident was reported. Following the first inspections, investigators concluded that the fires had been deliberately set.
The suspected perpetrator, a local resident already known to law enforcement, was quickly identified and taken into custody. Prosecutors were notified, and the case materials were submitted to the duty prosecutor at the Military District Prosecutor’s Office.
The man has been formally charged and ordered to remain in detention for 72 hours while the investigation continues.
