Russia must realize that it is time to end the war that is increasingly reaching a deadlock for the Kremlin and agree to conclude it on terms both sides can accept, EU Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova said.

This was stated in Katarina Mathernova’s post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Mathernova noted that she does not always react to some Russian attacks on Ukraine if they do not lead to significant consequences or a high number of casualties. According to her, this is because we have become “numb to terror” over four years of full-scale war.

At the same time, the EU Ambassador said she rarely writes about Ukrainian attacks on Russia, although Ukraine has significantly intensified its attacks on military targets deep inside Russian territory, including large-scale drone strikes on Moscow that caused airport disruptions and infrastructure damage.

“Russia is not able to prevail over Ukraine on the battlefield. It is running out of soldiers, motivation and stamina. And because it is losing on the frontline, it is increasing its attacks on civilians,” Mathernova stated.
