The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified several aspirants seeking tickets to contest for seats in the House of Representatives ahead of the party primaries, with Sanni Salau Ogembe from Kogi State among those affected.
Ogembe, who is contesting for the Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency seat, was listed among aspirants marked “Not Cleared” by the party’s national screening committee.
The development was contained in a list of disqualified and unsuccessful aspirants released by the APC screening panel for federal constituency elections.
Several other aspirants from different states were also barred from participating in the race after failing to scale the screening process.
