Former senator representing Bayelsa East, Ben Murray-Bruce, has denied reports claiming he was either disqualified or had withdrawn from the senatorial screening process of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Murray-Bruce, in a statement posted via X on Monday, described the report as “fallacious” and urged journalists to prioritise verification over speed in reportage.
“This report is fallacious. I was surprised to see it on your platform,” he wrote.
