Esmail Qaani, the commander of the IRGC Quds Force, issued a message expressing his condolences over the killing of Ezz al-Din al-Haddad, a commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.

In his message, Qaani described al-Haddad’s death as a “treacherous assassination” and claimed that the incident demonstrates the “vitality of the resistance,particularly in Gaza.

He further stated: “This pure blood will remain inspiring to young Palestinian mujahideen until the liberation of the holy Quds (Jerusalem) is achieved and the occupying regime is destroyed.”

Media outlets close to the Revolutionary Guards published the text of the Quds Force commander’s message on Monday, May 18.

Concurrently, Yousef Hassan al-Madani, a senior commander of the Yemeni Houthis who currently serves as the Chief of the General Staff of the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces, also issued a message of condolence regarding Ezz al-Din al-Haddad’s death, asserting that the Yemeni Houthi armed forces will stand alongside Hamas more firmly than ever before.
