Jaguar's glamorous EV stars in a new photo shoot in Monaco.
The Type 01 doesn't have a traditional grille or a rear window.
The prototype's thinner camouflage wrap reveals some of the finer details.
Not long to go until Jaguar finally takes the wraps off its first new-era EV. But before the Type 01 breaks cover later this year, the teaser campaign continues with a photo shoot to build even more hype. Gone is the bulky camouflage, replaced by a thinner body wrap that gives us a better idea of what to expect. Details such as the parking and windshield sensors, along with a long shark-fin antenna, suggest we’re looking at a virtually production-ready prototype.
Of course, the biggest difference compared to the concept car is the switch to a more practical four-door layout. Despite its imposingly long hood, the Type 01 does not have a combustion engine. Jaguar has already put an end to rumors about installing a gas engine in a range-extending version, in which the ICE would act solely as a generator to charge the battery rather than drive the wheels.
