Tension erupted at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday as operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and court security officials harassed and assaulted lawyers and innocent Nigerians during proceedings in the trial involving activist and social media critic, Justice Mark Chidiebere, widely known as Justice Crack,
Chidiebere is currently facing cybercrime and public unrest charges brought by the Nigerian Federal Government. His arrest stems from viral videos he posted on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the poor feeding and welfare conditions of Nigerian soldiers.
The chaotic situation worsened when heavily armed security operatives forcefully restricted access to the courtroom and manhandled individuals, including lawyers and journalists, attempting to gain entry into the court premises.
Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, was also caught in the melee as DSS operatives and court security personnel manning the gate wrestled violently with him, preventing him from accessing the cour
