A bus overturned on the Asaluyeh-Kangan highway on Sunday morning, May 17, just past the Siraf highway patrol station, claiming the lives of eight employees of the South Pars Gas Complex. Fifteen others were injured in the accident and rushed to the hospital.

According to a report by ILNA, the victims were permanent workers and direct-contract personnel of the South Pars Gas Complex who had boarded the bus that morning to return home and visit their families.

Based on published information, these employees typically used flights to travel during their days off prior to the war. However, following the suspension of flights to the southern region of the country, they were forced to commute by bus, leading to this tragic accident.

The Director General of Crisis Management for the Bushehr Governorate announced that relevant authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
