ALABWABA - A Pakistani source announced Monday that Islamabad sent a new edited proposal by Iran to the United States yesterday evening with the intention of reaching a final deal to end the war.According to Reuters, talks between the two sides appeared to remain stalled, and tension is rising with fears that war would resume, especially after U.S. President Donald Trump's posts on Truth Social. In one of the posts, Trump was displayed pushing a red button -- in a hint for a nuclear attack -- while screens displayed huge explosions with the phrase "Target Destroyed."The posts also included other images showing him in simulated space battles, commanding mechanized military units, and a controversial photo of him with an alien at what appeared to be a military site. When the source was asked whether the disagreements between the two sides would take time to resolve, he added, "We don't have much time," noting that both countries "continue to change their terms."Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that talks between Tehran and Washington are ongoing through Pakistani mediation, as part of ongoing communications between the two sides regarding contentious issues.Baghaei added during his weekly press conference on Monday that some of the speculation surrounding the uranium enrichment and nuclear materials file is "baseless," stressing that the positions presented on this matter do not reflect reality. He explained that the American side presented a set of proposals, while Tehran, in turn, presented its views and observations during the indirect communications process. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed that Tehran is in continuous contact with the Sultanate of Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz and mechanisms to ensure the security of navigation in it.
