With a history spanning nearly two centuries, King's College School Wimbledon has selected Ho Chi Minh City as its next destination, bringing its long-standing educational excellence to Vietnamese students and families.

The new campus, King's College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City, is expected to welcome its first intake in August 2027.According to the school, the campus will provide a full educational journey for boys and girls aged 2 to 18, from kindergarten through to secondary school.

Founded by Royal Charter in 1829 as the junior department of the university King's College London, King's College School Wimbledon is among the U.K.'s long-established independent schools.The school was listed among the world's top five high schools in the HSBC Hurun Education Global High Schools 2025 ranking. It was also ranked among the leading independent day schools in the U.K. by The Sunday Times Parent Power 2026 guide.According to the school, more than 98% of GCSE and IGCSE grades at A+ (9-7) and more than 96% of A Level results achieving A+/A/B or IB equivalent, including over half at A+ or IB level 7.The school said around 99% of students are admitted to universities worldwide each year, and more than a quarter securing places at Oxford, Cambridge, and Ivy League institutions.Anne Cotton, Head of King's College School Wimbledon and Honorary Principal of King's College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City, said the school's educational approach combines academic development with personal growth."Rooted in a long-standing tradition, the school's education is shaped by curiosity, creativity, compassion, and a strong sense of community," she said.
