Eurovision organisers are breathing a sigh of relief after Bulgaria came from nowhere to win this year’s song contest.

Pop star Dara topped both the public and jury vote, pushing Israel into second place and avoiding the nightmare scenario of a Tel Aviv final next year and an even bigger crisis than this year’s boycott.
