A 40-year-old tea stall vendor was allegedly clubbed to death for demanding the borrower to return the pending dues of ₹200, in Bengaluru Rural district.The incident occurred in Dyavasandra village in the limits of the Doddaballapura Police Station, and the accused has been arrested.The victim has been identified as Manjunath, 40.According to the police, the accused, identified as Muniyappa, went to Manjunath’s tea shop on May 12 and allegedly asked for more money. Manjunath reportedly refused and instead asked Muniyappa to clear the pending dues of ₹200 that was already borrowed from him.The discussion soon escalated into a heated argument. In a fit of rage, Muniyappa allegedly picked up a stick and assaulted Manjunath repeatedly.Manjunath sustained severe injuries and was shifted to a hospital, where he later succumbed during treatment.The police arrested Muniyappa and registered a case of murder under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
