The jallikattu event organised at Rangiyam village in the district on Sunday left 25 persons injured on Sunday. A total of 292 bulls were released during the event which lasted over three hours with the number of participating tamers being 200. Of the injured, 16 were treated as out-patients and the remaining nine injured persons were referred to the Pudukottai Government Medical College and Hospital and the Government Hospital, Tirumayam, said police sources. Twenty-five people were injured during a jallikattu event in Pudukottai district, with some requiring hospitalization.
