PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — Authorities seized an estimated P3.2 million worth of alleged smuggled cigarettes and arrested a 23-year-old man during an intelligence-driven anti-smuggling operation in Barangay Dumagoc here early Sunday morning.

The operation was conducted at 1:15 a.m. in Purok Sweet Love, where law enforcers apprehended the suspect, a resident of Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

The suspect was taken into custody for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 8424, or the National Internal Revenue Code of the Philippines.
