A flight heading from Melbourne to the United States has been diverted to Tahiti after a passenger was reported to have allegedly bitten a flight attendant.Qantas has confirmed flight QF21 between Melbourne and Dallas was diverted on Friday due a disruptive passenger on board.The ABC understands the passenger allegedly bit the crew member and fellow passengers helped to restrain him.Local authorities in Tahiti met the plane on its arrival in Papeete.Qantas said the passenger had been issued with a no-fly ban on the company's planes."The safety of our customers and our crew is our number one priority and we have zero tolerance for disruptive or threatening behaviour on our flights," a Qantas spokesperson said.The plane was refuelled and resumed its journey, with the rest of the passengers arriving in Dallas on Saturday morning.The AFP and Tahitian police have been contacted for comment.
