The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has visited communities in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State following a deadly attack and abduction incident that occurred in the area.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Placid, on Saturday.
The statement noted that the IG expressed deep concern over the incident and sympathised with families of victims who lost their lives during the attack that happened in the early hours of Friday.
The statement read, “The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, today paid a visit to Oyo State following the tragic attack and abduction incident that occurred in Oriire Local Government Area of the State in the early hours of Friday, 15th May, 2026.
