The Presidency said security operatives had since launched intensive rescue operations and were working around the clock to rescue the abducted victims and arrest the attackers as well as their collaborators within the community.
President Bola Tinubu has condemned the reported killing of one of the teachers abducted during a bandit attack on schools in Esiele community, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The President also assured residents of the state that the Federal Government was working closely with the Oyo State government and security agencies to secure the release of all kidnapped victims and bring the perpetrators to justice.
This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, bandits invaded the Esiele community last Friday and abducted staff, students and pupils from Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School.
