Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla on Saturday said the Senate has refused to accept the subpoena issued by his office for copies of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of Wednesday night’s shooting incident.

The shooting, now under investigation, was followed by the sudden exit of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa from the Senate premises in the early hours of Thursday after being under the chamber’s “protective custody” for three days.

“There is a problem. The Senate did not accept our process server. But there is a notice already,” Remulla said on his weekly program “Executive Session” on dzRH.
