TACLOBAN CITY — The provincial government of Samar will resume its regular five-day workweek beginning Monday, May 18, after months of implementing a compressed four-day schedule aimed at reducing fuel consumption and mitigating the effects of rising fuel costs, making Samar the second province after Northern Samar and the fifth local government unit in Eastern Visayas to restore the standard work arrangement.
The resumption was ordered through Executive Order No. 16-2026 issued by Governor Sharee Ann Tan.on Friday, May 15, directing all provincial government offices and personnel to return to the regular Monday-to-Friday work schedule.
