Andhra Pradesh Government will give an incentive of ₹30,000 for the third and ₹40,000 for the fourth child in a family, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said.Speaking at the `Swachchandra - Swarnadhara’ programme in Narasannapeta in Srikakulam district on Saturday, Naidu said more children should be seen as a wealth and not as a burden. ``Earlier, the Government was insisting on family planning, but more children should now be treated as wealth,’’ Naidu said.The State Government was already providing ₹15,000 per mother and per child under the `Talliki Vandanam’ scheme, and would also endeavour to increase the amount going forward, the Chief Minister said.Clean drive and waste-to-energy push highlightedStating that the `Swachchandra - Swarnadhara’ programme was being implemented successfully in the State for the last 16 months, he said energy was being generated from waste.As part of the Operation Clean Sweep launched on Saturday, the district collectors should ensure clean drives in their respective districts for the next four days, he added.Naidu highlights investment inflowsThe State Government’s policies over the last 23 months have attracted ₹23 lakh crore in investment after the NDA government came to power in June 2024, Naidu said.Published on May 16, 2026
