Megan Grant just set an NCAA single-season record with 38 home runs. Remarkably, she was also a member of the women’s basketball team that cut down the nets last month. Fellow senior Jordan Woolery has the fourth-best batting average at .515. As a team, the Bruins top the country in homers, runs and on-base percentage.Last year’s runner-up Texas Tech slots in as the 11th seed after losing the Big 12 championship game to Arizona State by a 4-0 final. Still, the Red Raiders are 52-6 and have the most wins of any power-conference program. Senior pitcher NiJaree Canady is a sensation — she has her own signature move with the “NiJa stomp,” and her historic NIL deal was in partnership with NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes.
