The 2026 NCAA Division I baseball tournament begins Friday, May 29, with 64 teams embarking on a quest for Omaha across 16 Regionals. This round runs May 29 through June 1. In the Regionals, each site hosts four teams in a double-elimination bracket. The 16 winners move on to the best-of-three Super Regionals from June 5-8. From there, eight teams advance to the Men’s College World Series, beginning June 12 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. You can watch every game of the 2026 college baseball tournament on Fubo (Stream Free Now).Teams to knowUCLA is the No. 1 overall seed, followed by Georgia Tech, Georgia and Auburn. North Carolina, Texas, Alabama and Florida complete the top eight, meaning each would be in line to host a Super Regional if it advances. That’s the clean version, but the Regionals rarely stay clean. The top of the bracket has star power, too. UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky is a two-time Big Ten Player of the Year and the favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. Georgia Tech’s high-powered offense is led by its three Golden Spikes semifinalists: Drew Burress, Jarren Advincula and Vahn Lackey.Georgia catcher Daniel Jackson, the SEC Player of the Year, made history with a 25-homer, 25-steal season, while Texas left-hander Dylan Volantis is a name to watch on the mound.Coastal Carolina brings the best bit of tournament weirdness. The Chanticleer is a rooster from Geoffrey Chaucer’s “The Canterbury Tales,” which is an absurd and excellent thing to build a dugout identity around. Coastal Carolina took home the 2016 national title and finished as the runner-up last season. The Chants are unseeded this year, but they have a decent shot at winning the Tallahassee Regional.Fresno State remains one of the best historic examples of postseason chaos. The Bulldogs, unseeded nationally and a No. 4 Regional seed, went on to win the 2008 national championship. Stony Brook (2012), Oral Roberts (2023) and Murray State (2025) have all reached Omaha from that same spot since.Updated schedule and matchups for RegionalsAll times are ET.
