MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested two individuals in Tondo, Manila, for allegedly selling P300,000 worth of an unregistered brand of tirzepatide, a weight-loss drug.
According to the NBI, agents from its Dangerous Drugs Division conducted a buy-bust on Wednesday, May 13, after they received information about the alleged sale and distribution of tirzepatide.
The NBI said the brand of tirzepatide reportedly sold by the suspects is unregistered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which issued a certificate.
