MANILA, Philippines—The Supreme Court has denied the temporary restraining order (TRO) sought by three lawyers to “preserve” all versions of the controversial Senate blue ribbon committee report on the flood control mess.
The high tribunal, in a two-page resolution issued on April 29 but made public on Friday, did not grant the TRO and the status quo ante order sought by lawyers Marvin Aceron, Sikini Labastilla, and Purificacion Bartolome-Bernabe in their petition for mandamus and certiorari.
It noted, however, that the denial was “without giving due course” to the petition for mandamus and certiorari that was filed on March 2.
