Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) on Friday (May 15, 2026) announced that it will provide prepaid smart meters to government electricity services across its jurisdiction starting June 1.APSPDCL’s Chairman and Managing Director Sivasankar Lotheti stated that the decision, taken in accordance with the central government’s directions, will be implemented in government offices, water works, municipal bodies across Tirupati, Nellore, Chittoor, Annamayya, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapuram and Sri Sathya Sai districts.
