MOSCOW, May 15. /TASS/. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov addressed the outcome of US President Donald Trump's visit to China, preparations for Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s own visit to the PRC, and Cuba’s fuel situation in his daily briefing on Friday.
TASS has gathered the key statements made by the Russian presidential press secretary.
- The Russian leader will travel to China very soon; preparations for his visit are over: "In fact, the visit will take place very soon. Preparations for the visit are indeed over as consultations have been held and all the major details of the visit have been agreed on."
- Moscow will soon make an announcement in concert with Beijing: "We will make an official announcement shortly. Since we are doing it based on an agreement with our Chinese friends, we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves."
- Putin will discuss the entire range of bilateral relations, as well as international affairs, during his upcoming visit to China: "The agenda is clear: bilateral relations come first, including our special privileged partnership and impressive trade and economic cooperation, with its annual value consistently above $200 billion," he noted. "Of course, active discussions of international affairs will also be on the agenda," Peskov added.
