International media outlets have reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit China just days after Donald Trump’s trip to Beijing.

Reuters and international media networks, including Bloomberg, noted that the visit comes at a time when China is actively working to strengthen its role as one of the most influential players in global diplomacy.

According to these reports, the close timing of Trump’s visit followed by Putin’s trip to Beijing underscores China’s increasingly prominent position in global political and economic affairs.

Relations between Moscow and Beijing have expanded significantly since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022, with trade between the two countries reaching historic highs. China currently remains one of the main buyers of Russian energy and exports. Western media outlets have also noted that Beijing is trying to preserve its close relationship with Russia while simultaneously keeping communication channels with the United States open.
