Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche directed the Department of Justice to end targeting of crypto mixers in April 2025, signaling a shift in how the DOJ approaches digital asset enforcement. Paul Grewal has served as Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer since 2020, previously serving as a U.S. federal magistrate judge for the Northern District of California and as Deputy General Counsel at Facebook, and has been engaged in discussions with regulators around legal frameworks for the digital asset industry.
