The writing wasn’t on the wall for Marty Makary—it was in the Wall Street Journal. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) commissioner resigned Tuesday, just four days after the newspaper reported that President Donald Trump had signed off on Makary’s firing.
“I’ve been reading about it, but I know nothing about it,” Trump said Friday when asked about plans to fire the commissioner.
