Just weeks after Oliver Jones left Apple TV for Amazon, another executive focused on international content is leaving the company. Here are the details.
A few weeks ago, THR reported that Oliver Jones, an Apple TV executive who worked on shows including Masters of the Air, Disclaimer, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters over the past six years, was leaving for Amazon MGM Studios, where he’d lead U.K. scripted content.
Now, Deadline reports that Morgan Wandell, Apple TV’s Head of International Development, is also departing. Rather than going to a competitor, Wandell is launching his own production company, called Kismet.
From Deadline:
Based in Los Angeles, Kismet will be developing and producing premium scripted series aimed at the global marketplace by finding and nurturing projects and voices that can travel through high-end culturally rooted storytelling.
