Apple TV has been ramping up its film efforts, and Deadline reports today on a high-profile new acquisition—One Month Mark—that had near-unprecedented levels of Hollywood interest.

Apple’s film strategy, especially as relates to theatrical, is still an open question. F1 was a huge success for the company last year, but so far no theatrical films have been announced for 2026. Instead, Apple has prioritized streaming-first movies.

That approach doesn’t seem to have hurt Apple’s negotiating power for high-profile projects.

Its latest success story is One Month Mark, a new film written by Sophie Fleur de Bruijn. Per Deadline:

After an auction that saw 40 buyers put in offers before Chernin Entertainment landed rights, the highly sought spec One Month Mark has not only landed an A-list star but also found a studio to call home.
