It’s normal to have a healthy dose of skepticism around products from celebrity-founded brands, but the internet appears to be loving one entry into the celeb beauty category: the Hair & Edge Restoring Drops from Beyoncé’s brand Cécred, which reviewers are referring to as “heaven in a bottle” and “magic” for thinning hair.
Suitable for all hair types and textures, the serum is said to improve hair density up to 1.5 times, giving you fuller, healthier-looking hair. Often seen selling out (the official Cécred site limits customers to purchasing five bottles at a time), the drops have gained a cult following, with impressed reviews and before-and-after photos and videos of their hair growth popping up on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok.
“I’m so glad I read the reviews and tried these drops,” one reviewer wrote at Ulta. “I can already tell a difference after 21 days. If you’re on the fence, give them a try.”
But how does these drops actually work, and are they as good as the reviewer testimonials make them seem? To get to the bottom of this, I asked an expert.
