MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” said President Donald Trump’s remarks that he’s not thinking “even a little bit” about struggling Americans while he negotiates with Iran will be a “clip and save” moment for Democrats on the campaign trail. (Watch the video below.)

“That’s clip and save for Democrats throughout this campaign season,” co-host Willie Geist said on Wednesday. “He’s been showing that he doesn’t care about Americans’ financial situations since the beginning of this war, as gas prices and food prices have risen. Now he’s just saying it out loud — ‘I actually don’t care.’”

“I was thinking back to all those times where you had to interpret or spin a president being out of touch ... And now you have a president just saying, ‘I don’t care about your financial situation,’” he added.

“C’mon,” Scarborough said. “Is he saying that openly?” co-host Mika Brzezinski added with a laugh.

Trump lit up social media and cable news with his response to reporters on whether concerns about “Americans’ financial situations” were impacting his talks with Iran.
