May 11 (UPI) -- NBC has announced a new game show based on the New York Times word game Wordle.
Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie will host the primetime series, with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon to serve as an executive producer.
The Wordle show will see contestants form teams and attempt to solve five-letter word puzzles for a cash prize.
"It builds on the way the puzzle community engages with Wordle every day -- solving together, sharing wins, debating strategies and cheering one another on," a press release reads.
