Marcus Shaw, CEO of AltFinance, joins Forbes senior writer Jabari Young on The Enterprise Zone from the Milken Institute Global Conference in Beverly Hills.

Shaw discusses the mission behind AltFinance, a nonprofit. The organization creates apprenticeship programs for HBCU students seeking careers in private investment. Launched in 2021, AltFinance also has a $90 million commitment from top firms, including Oak Tree Capital.
