With launch of railway zone, dreams of North Andhra people realised: BJP State president

BJP State President PVN Madhav has said the dream of North Andhra people has been realised with the establishment of the railway zone.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, Mr. Madhav said they had been fighting for the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone since he was a youth leader and cases were filed against him for taking up agitations. At the time of bifurcation too, it is the BJP along that had advocated for the inclusion of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone in the Act.

Since the formation of the State, the BJP leaders have been striving for the railway zone and it was officially announced in 2019. “We have allocated 52.25 acres of land in Visakhapatnam for the railway zone headquarters,” he said and added that once the Bhogapuram Airport comes to operation, the Kothavalasa station will emerge as a key railway hub.
