Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj on Monday (May 4, 2026). The event is centred on the theme ‘Raksha Triveni Sangam - Where Technology, Industry & Soldiering Converge’.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the three-day event is jointly organised by the Indian Army’s Northern Command, Central Command, and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers.

The symposium will serve as a key platform to showcase cutting-edge indigenous technologies designed to address operational challenges faced by the armed forces. A total of 284 companies, including MSMEs, private defence technology firms, start-ups, and innovators in uniform, will exhibit their latest solutions.

The event will focus on identifying technologies suitable for field deployment, improving maintenance processes, and streamlining procurement systems to strengthen a self-reliant defence ecosystem.

With the Indian Army increasingly emphasising innovation to tackle evolving security threats, the symposium aims to foster collaboration among the military, industry, academia, and scientific community. The event will conclude on May 6 and is expected to enhance synergy in advancing national security and technological excellence, it added.
