Sixty Sub-Inspector trainees of the 32-A batch formally joined the Kerala Police after a ceremonial passing-out parade held at the parade ground of the Kerala Police Academy in Thrissur on Saturday.

State Police Chief Ravada Chandrasekhar received the salute of the cadets. Academy Director K. Sethuraman and other senior police officers were also present. Assistant Director (Outdoor) C.P. Ajith Kumar administered the oath to the trainees.

The State Police Chief presented trophies to those who excelled in various disciplines during training. M.P. Navaneeth was adjudged Best Outdoor and Best Shooter, K.P. Keerthana won Best Indoor, and Basil Paul was selected as the Best All-Rounder. The parade was accompanied by a police band.

The training for the 32-A batch commenced on April 3, 2025, at the Kerala Police Academy. Over the course of one year, the trainees underwent intensive basic training covering a wide range of outdoor and indoor subjects.

Outdoor training included parade, physical fitness, shield and lathi drills, mob operations, obstacle course, field craft and map reading, bomb detection and disposal.
