Rai investigative reporter Sigfrido Ranucci said Thursday he was not afraid of meeting Justice Minister Carlo Nordio in court over the reporter's claim the minister had visited the Uruguay ranch where businessman Giuseppe Cipriani and his partner, Berlusconi bunga bunga pimping convict Nicole Minetti, allegedly ran a brothel.
Ranucci received a letter of reprimand earlier Thursday for allegedly making the allegedly unsourced and unsubstantiated claim about Nordio on a Berlusconi channel current affairs show Tuesday, ANSA reported.
"I acknowledge the ANSA report, which, as an excellent agency, received the news before I was personally informed of the company's decision," said Ranucci, who fronts the top Rai investigative show Report.
"However, I have no fear of facing the Minister of Justice in court, who is also the custodian of the Register of Journalists.
"As for the rest, there are things that have a price, others that have a value.
