Investigators are asking for the public's help in the case of two graduate students from the University of South Florida who went missing earlier this month, as they await identification for additional human remains found in the area.

The decomposing remains of USF doctoral student Zamil Limon, 27, were located in a black trash bag on the Howard Frankland Bridge, which connects Tampa and St. Petersburg, on April 24. He and fellow student Nahida Bristy, also 27, had been missing for a week. Investigators have said based on evidence, there is essentially no “probability Nahida Bristy remains alive.”

Court documents revealed Limon, 27, was stabbed and died from “multiple sharp force injuries," reported the USA TODAY Network in Florida.

More remains were found on April 26 and were taken to the medical examiner's office for identification.

Limon's roommate, Hisham Abugharbieh, 26, was arrested April 24 for the killings. He’s been charged with two counts of premeditated murder with a weapon, among other charges. He was ordered to be held without bond on April 28, the Associated Press reported. USA TODAY has reached out to his public defender for comment.
