A 34-year-old private company employee was found dead in a highly decomposed state inside her rented house in Adugodi on Monday (April 27), raising serious suspicion of foul play.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Dutta, a native of Hirapur near Dhanbad in Jharkhand. She had been residing alone in a rented accommodation.

The incident came to light after neighbours noticed a strong foul smell emanating from her house and alerted the police. Upon arrival, the police broke open the door and discovered the body in a disturbing condition. Officials suspect that the death may have occurred at least two to three days prior.
The circumstances surrounding the death have raised questions, as the body was found naked and in a semi-decomposed state. The police have not ruled out either murder or suicide and have registered a case. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further details are awaited.
