With its enormous crop diversity, Rajasthan may serve as a “living lab” for the agricultural technology companies which could avail of the numerous investment opportunities in food processing, cold chains, organic farming and drone-based agriculture, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Sunday (April 26, 2026).
Mr. Sharma was addressing an investor meet in Bengaluru ahead of the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM)-2026 to be organised in Jaipur next month. He said technology had an immense potential to transform agriculture sector in the State on a large scale, with the vast scope for modern irrigation and artificial intelligence-based crop assessment.
Focus on innovation and entrepreneurship in farm sector through agritech meet in Rajasthan
Representatives of the Rajasthani diaspora in Karnataka, including leaders from the Bengaluru chapter of Rajasthan Foundation, evinced interest in the scope for investment and partnerships in the State. GRAM-2026 is scheduled to be held here from May 23 to 25 with an expected participation of 75,000 farmers.
Inviting the investors from Karnataka to join the efforts to position Rajasthan as a leading hub for farm innovations, Mr. Sharma said the State was moving toward building a strong agritech-driven economy by integrating its traditional agricultural strength with modern technology. “Together with Karnataka, we can further strengthen our farmers by equipping them with the latest technologies,” he said.
