This year, a total of six students have won six gold medals in five-year integrated M.Sc in Economics and two-year M.Sc in Financial Economics from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) University, Bengaluru. Five of the six gold medallists are female students.

Meghana B. Prasheed, Paarvathi J., Gauri Agarwal, Divya U., Neha M. and Priyanshu Shekhar will be awarded gold medals at the second annual convocation of the University on April 27. In all, the University would be presenting 6 gold medals, 17 rank certificates and 171-degree certificates, for the academic years 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Bhalchandra Laxman Mungekar, distinguished Economist and former member of Planning Commission of India and former Member of Rajya Sabha, will deliver the convocation address.

“Despite being a new university, due to our curriculum, most of our students, who are receiving degrees in the convocation, are already well placed and some have gone for higher studies in leading universities abroad,” Prof. Vishwanatha, Vice-Chancellor, BASE said.
