The woman who confronted Maharashtra Minister seeking that the BJP protest blocking an arterial road in Mumbai be moved to an adjoining empty maidan, wanted to trigger a stampede, claimed a complainant on Friday (April 24, 2026).

A young woman approached the Worli Police on Friday (April 24, 2026), seeking that an FIR be registered against the unknown woman. Insinuating the woman for raising her voice against a protest which had led to a traffic snarl, the young lawyer claimed that that woman was not inconvenienced, and was aware that she was being covered by the national media. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have booked the organisers of the BJP protest for flouting the conditions for holding the public march.

Following are the excerpts of the four-page complaint letter accessed by The Hindu. (The Hindu possesses a copy of the complaint)

“It is clear that the woman faced no problems, but she was overreacting due to the cameras around her,” wrote Zen Sadavarte, an 18-year-old law student. She said that the woman was involved in ‘violent acts’ to ‘disturb public peace.

“She wanted to trigger a stampede, because of which she hit a bottle at the thousands of women and the police,” wrote the young woman, demanding that the unknown woman be booked under Sections 221, 132, 352, 195, 353, 224 of the BNS.
