Two days after an angry woman burst out at Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan over the massive traffic snarl in Worli due to a BJP protest on the women’s reservation Bill, a young woman on Friday (April 24, 2026) submitted a complaint against her.

The complaint was submitted at Worli police station. The complainant has sought that an FIR be registered against the ‘entitled’ woman under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita for insulting the police officials and public servants.

The video of the incident had gone viral, with many coming out in support of the woman, calling out the ‘VIP culture’. She had asked why the BJP was protesting on the streets by blocking the traffic, when an empty ground was next door. Her aggressive approach was flanked by the minister later. He had called her aggression, the usage of words inappropriate. While apologising for the issue, he had also normalised the disruption of traffic caused by the protests.

On Friday (April 24, 2026), complainant Zen Sadavarte said, “Police officers were working relentlessly for the people. An entitled woman gets down from her Mercedes and uses abusive language against the police. Who are you, madam, to come and talk against our public authorities?”
