IndiGo Airlines, the lone operator providing air connectivity to the Union Territory, will operate an additional flight in Puducherry-Bengaluru sector from May 1.

In addition to the flight operating in Bengaluru-Puducherry- Hyderabad sector, another flight will be operated between Puducherry and Bengaluru sector alone. The additional flight will take off from Bengaluru at 10.10 a.m. and reach Puducherry at 11.15 a.m. The flight will depart from Puducherry at 11.35 a.m. and reach Bengaluru at 12.15 p.m.

“The existing Indigo flight will continue its operations as per schedule. The additional flight marks a significant step in enhancing regional connectivity and meeting the growing demand for air travel between Puducherry and Bengaluru. With the expansion, passengers will enjoy greater flexibility, convenience and improved options for both business and leisure travel,” Airport Director, Airports Authority of India, Puducherry Airport K. Rajasekhar Reddy said in a release.

The AAI, he said was committed towards supporting the region’s economic growth and tourism development by facilitating better air connectivity, the release added.
