Marie Osmond is opening up about her last moments with brother Alan Osmond, who died Monday, April 20, at 76.
The singer shared her older brother's final words, revealing Alan Osmond was looking forward to being reunited with their brother Wayne Osmond, who died on New Year's Day 2025.
"The last thing he said to me was: 'I can't wait to see brother Wayne, so we can be missionary companions together and start preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who never had the opportunity to hear his message of peace and hope in this life,'" the "Paper Roses" singer wrote in an Instagram tribute a day after his death. "That's my brother Alan!! I love you so very much and will miss you dearly."
Alan Osmond, oldest member of The Osmonds, dies at 76
Marie Osmond, 66, posted photos of Alan throughout his life, attempting to summarize "years and years of memories I have" of her "protective" big brother. She recalled the "immense responsibility" Alan was given at age 12 as the leader of the family band, his faith and flying the original band of four brothers – Alan, Wayne, Merrill and Jay Osmond – to Hawaii for a final performance in 2018.
