Hyderabad received some relief from the intense heat as clouds hovered in the sky on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) morning and in the afternoon. However, rain was not recorded in any part of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) till 2.00 p.m.
Rangareddy was one of the 11 districts which were forecast to receive light rain and thunderstorms, according to India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad Centre’s forecast valid till 4.00 p.m. on Tuesday.
And, as per IMD’s 24-hour forecast issued on Tuesday afternoon, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds are very likely in Hyderabad and its neighbourhood areas towards evening or night.
On Monday, the maximum temperature in Medchal Malkajgiri was 41.8°C, 41.6°C in Hyderabad and 41.5°C in Rangareddy
